Tyreke Evans, PG, Sacramento Kings
D.J. Augustin, PG, Charlotte Bobcats
Thriving in his role as the Bobcat’s starting PG, Augustin is shooting 55 percent from the field and a ridiculous 12-for-19 (63 percent) from 3-point range in six preseason games. Augustin has started all six preseason games and is averaging 14.5 points, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals to go with all those triples. With only Shaun Livingston as a viable threat to steal playing time, Augustin should be considered a sleeper PG with the potential to be a top 15-point guard going into all fantasy drafts.
John Salmons, SG, Milwaukee Bucks
Milwaukee’s SG practiced for the first time all training camp on Tuesday after sitting out due to a knee sprain. Salmons said that he is “very confident” that he will be ready to play in the season opener next Wednesday. Coach Scott Skiles added that he anticipates Salmons being ready as well. Consider Salmons a decent backup SG fantasy wise with the potential to drop 20+ on any night.
Evan Turner, PG/SG, Philadelphia 76ers
Turner started for the Sixers in their preseason game Tuesday night against the Cavs. The only reason Turner started the game was because it was in Ohio, where Turner played college basketball. As long as Jrue Holliday is healthy, Turner will not start. In twenty minutes last night, Turner had four points, six assists, and three rebounds. For fantasy purposes, Turner is only worth anything in the deepest of leagues, or in dynasty formats.
Chris Kaman, C, Los Angeles Clippers
The big man from Central Michigan had 21 points, 10 boards and four blocks in Tuesday’s preseason loss to the Kings. With Baron Davis looking more involved in the offense along with the emergence of PF Blake Griffin, Kaman is about as solid as they get for a fantasy center minus Dwight Howard. With his ability to shoot free throws at a high percentage, Kaman should be considered a top 6 center for all fantasy formats.
